Although our company had been attending tradeshows for a while, we hadn’t quite found our footing with a booth design. I was tasked with creating something unique and different that would really show what we offered as a company. Our main push was our DuraLabel label printers, so that became the focus.
My concept was to recreate the applications customers would be interested in to show how our products could be used. This became the back drop that used everything from real electrical boxes and piping to custom made gearbox with an emergency stop button.
I worked directly with the vendor on how to achieve the ideas that were developed on the screen. I collaborated on the table designs to create the final barrel look. (This spoke to our customers interested in chemical labeling).
The final design is something that stands out at tradeshows and includes interactive elements to draw folks in. It’s large backlit sign clearly states the product offering and there is plenty of counter space to display our products. Additional storage built into the tables was also appreciated by those working the booth.
The booth is still being used at large shows. The back section is modular, so new panels can be created to update the look and focus as needed.
This 3D render of the booth was created in Adobe Illustrator to help leadership and sales see the concept during development.
The final flat design created in Adobe Illustrator was used by the booth vendor as the basis of their final designs.
Concept drawings created in Adobe Illustrator used to create final product.
The final booth design in action. Sales reps reported that the booth gathered lots of attention and stood out.
This is the previous booth that was used, I also helped develop and design. Branding for this booth was focused on Graphic Products. The response was that it was too broad in it’s focus and didn’t focus on what we do enough. The new booth was the response.
I love a good challenge. Getting to blend technical know-how with creative artistry to create a final image that, if done right, blends together seamlessly. All these images were created using photoshop and are some of the most fun I have working.
Creating this for an guide, I needed to take a photo taken on our loading bay and put it in the right environment. To further enhance the image, added a bay of electrical panels reflecting in the visor.
A military crate that I added not only a tag on a zip tie, but additional rocks/ground to add some space.
Used color to make this scene look hot (temperature), and swapped in an appropriate sign.
Adding believable glow effect and darkening the scene to promote this glow-in-the-dark sign.
Cleaned up the photo, but needed to make this image taller for a magazine cover. Composited in a new sky to solve the problem.
This challenge was unique: take away the dust, then replace the dust!
I have worked on a wide variety of different print collateral in my time as a designer. I have more hard copies in my offline portfolio, but have done my best to show some examples here. This page features a variety of brochures and promotional pieces I've created through my time at Country Coach, OMAC Advertising and Graphic Products. They include some brochures, flyers and mailers.
